description	During the past three years, the University of Santo Tomas, Tunja, Colombia, TU Bergakademie Freiberg in Germany, and the Institute for New Industrial Culture (INIK) of Germany, have worked together on a research project that deals with the industrialization of Colombia, with the influence of German immigrants in this process. It is a strategy of bilateral cooperation that generates an important research benefit of the Germans’ presence in Colombia and their contributions to national development.In this process, it has been important to examine in particular how German influences have contributed to the development of Colombia’s industrial culture and its role for the future development of the country. The project has an interdisciplinary approach, integrating the disciplines of planning and design with history and cultural studies. In this context, there have been several trips with field research to both Colombia and Germany, in which students and teachers from both countries have taken part.This article shows part of the advancement of research, a result of both fieldwork and consultation from various sources, which is followed by a new phase of furthering the search for data about the characters and German companies mentioned here. German influence in the industry, mining, trade and architecture of Colombia is undeniable; the task now is to establish the permanence and significance of that legacy.

Se trata de una estrategia de cooperación bilateral que generará un importante beneficio de la investigación sobre la presencia alemana en Colombia y sus aportes al desarrollo del país.En este proceso, ha sido importante examinar en particular, cómo las influencias alemanas han contribuido al desarrollo de la cultura industrial de Colombia y su papel para el futuro desarrollo del país. El proyecto ha tenido un enfoque interdisciplinario, integrando las disciplinas de la planificación y diseño con la historia y los estudios culturales. En este contexto, se han realizado varios viajes de estudio con de una investigación de campo tanto a Colombia como a Alemania, en los cuales han tomado parte estudiantes y profesores de ambos países.El presente artículo muestra parte del avance de la investigación resultado tanto del trabajo de campo como de la consulta de diversas fuentes, al que le sigue una nueva fase de profundización en la búsqueda de datos sobre los personajes y firmas alemanas que aquí se mencionan. La influencia alemana en la industria, la minería, el comercio y la arquitectura de Colombia en innegable; la tarea es ahora establecer la permanencia y trascendencia de ese legado.Durant ces trois dernières années, L’Université Saint Thomas à Tunja en Colombie, la TU Bergakademie Freiberg d’Allemagne et l’Institut pour la Nouvelle Culture Industrielle INIK d’Allemagne, ont travaillé ensemble sur le projet de recherche qui s’occupe de l’industrialisation de la Colombie, avec l’influence des immigrants allemands dans ce processus. Il s’agit d’une stratégie de coopération bilatérale qui entrainera un bénéfice important de la recherche sur la présence allemande en Colombie et ses apports au développement du pays.Dans ce processus, il a été important examiner en particulier, comme les influences allemandes ont contribué au développement de la culture industriel de la Colombie et son rôle pour le futur développement du pays. Le projet a eu une approche interdisciplinaire, intégrant les disciplines de la planification et le dessin avec l’histoire et les études culturels. Dans ce contexte, plusieurs voyages d’étude ont été réalisés avec une recherche de champ tant en Colombie comme en Allemagne, dans lequel ont pris part les étudiants et les professeurs de deux pays.L’article présent montre une partie de la progression de la recherche en ressortie tant du travail de champ, comme de la consultation de divers sources, auquel elle suit une phase d’approfondissement dans la recherche des données sur les personnages et les firmes allemandes qui ici sont mentionnées. L’influence allemande dans l’industrie, l’exploitation minière, le commerce et l’architecture de la Colombie est indéniable; la tâche est d’établir maintenant la permanence et la transcendance de ce legs.Durante os últimos três anos, a Universidade Santo Tomás câmpus Tunja, Colômbia, a TU Bergakademie Freiberg de Alemanha e no Instituto para a Nova Cultura Industrial INIK da Alemanha, tem trabalhado juntos num projeto de investigaçãoo qual se ocupa da temática da industrialização na Colômbia, com a influência dos imigrantes alemães neste processo. Corresponde a uma estratégia de cooperação bilateral a qual gerará um importante benefício da pesquisa sobre a presença alemã na Colômbia e seus aportes ao desenvolvimento do país.Para este processo, foi importante examinar no particular, como as influências alemãs têm contribuído ao desenvolvimento da cultura industrial na Colômbia e o seu papel para o futuro do progresso do país. O projeto há tido um enfoco interdisciplinar, integrando as áreas da planificação o desenho com a história e os estudos culturais. Neste contexto, tem se realizado algumas viagens de estudo de uma pesquisa no campo tanto na Colômbia quanto na Alemanha, nos quais os estudantes e professores dos dois países tem sido parte.O seguinte artigo mostra parte dos avanços desta pesquisa sendo o resultado dos trabalhos realizados no campo de investigação como a consultas das diferentes fontes de pesquisa, ao qual continua uma nova fase de aprofundamento na busca de dados sobre as personagens e companhias alemãs que aqui são mencionadas.
