LA COMPLEJIDAD DE LA CIUDAD: NO ES EL ÁNGEL, SON LOS HOMBRES Y MUJERES

La identificación de La Ciudad, como espacialidad e imaginario en el cual han de instalarse las representaciones y los símbolos contemporáneos, y aquellos del futuro, empieza a tener manifestaciones también en ámbitos no necesariamente ligados a, y determinados por, el modernismo capitalista. El saludo del manifiesto zapatista a la Ciudad de México; la destrucción de las torres gemelas en la Ciudad de New York; y la venganza petrolera contra el dictador Iraquí sobre la Ciudad de Bagdad; son algunasde esas incertidumbres y temores, en las indagaciones y en la práctica, donde nos hemos encontrado con el hecho de que estamos configurando una nueva forma deexistencia individual y colectiva para la cual nos estamos preparando.ABSTRACTThe identification of The City as a spatial or imaginary place where the contemporary and future places and simbols are to be installed, has begun to appear also within boundaries not necessarily linked or determined by modern capitalism. The Zapatist Manifesto to Mexico City, the destruction of the Twin Towers in New York City, and the oil revenge against the Irak dictator and the City of Bagdad, are some of the uncertainties and fears we have found in our investigations and practices, maiking us aware that there is a new individual and collective form of life and that we have to be prepared to accomplish our labour in this new world.
