Scientific research and the publication of scientific articles are two closely related activities within the framework of the academic activities of Law Schools.This, among other fundamentals, since it is clear that what is researched and not published, is the same as lack of research. It is from the aforementioned perspective that the scientific article generates all its importance.For this purpose, we understand by scientific article the manuscript that in forms the academic community for the first time the results of a research. The main characteristic of a research article is that it must always produce advances in knowledge, so it is obvious that it can only fulfill its purpose when it has been published and made available to the scientific community.Along this line of thinking, it is important to highlight that scientific research really ends with the publication of one or several articles in scientific journals; in order to achieve academic recognition, to be able to share and contrast these results with the rest of the academic community and to add bibliographic resources to said community.In accordance with the previous lines, the January/18 to June/18 edition of the journal Revista IUSTA, presents to the academic community scientific articles that are contextualized in the raison d'être of scientific research and scientific articles on topics that address research problems of Private Law, Criminal Law and Public Law.We thank the authors and the peers who supported this edition, we hope that the reading of the proposed articles will be of interest to the entire community.
