The significance of the results is that they have become a reference to create the Institutional System of Continuing Teacher Training at the USTA SIFOPP Bucaramanga, led by the Academic Administration through the Center for Studies in Education Bucaramanga, within the duration of the development plan 2010-2013.Este artículo comparte los resultados de la investigación titulada “Estudio Diagnóstico de la Formación y el Desarrollo Docente en la Universidad Santo Tomas Seccional Bucaramanga”, la cual fue realizada con el propósito de establecer el impacto que los programas de formación docente realizados en la institución han tenido en la práctica del ejercicio de la docencia, la apropiación de las herramientas de gestión curricular, la investigación educativa y pedagógica, las publicaciones y la producción de materiales educativos entre otros, acciones que dan cuenta de la cualificación docente en la institución.
