En el presente artículo de reflexión, se contextualiza acerca de la Escuela Superior de Guerra “General Rafael Reyes Prieto” –ESDEG- como institución del estado cuya orbita de competencia esta perfilada esencialmente a profundizar en la conceptualización e investigación sobre Seguridad y Defensa Nacional. Desde ese enfoque general, se realizará entonces un análisis acerca de las políticas en seguridad y defensa Nacional del estado, en las administraciones presidenciales de: Álvaro Uribe Vélez, Juan Manuel Santos, y lo que va del mandato del actual presidente Iván Duque, y a partir de esas experiencias se buscará establecer si la temática trazada por la Escuela Superior de Guerra, ha sido aplicada en dichas materias en cada una de esas administraciones, y se hará un juicio de valor sobre el rol que desempeña la citada entidad. Dentro de esa óptica de análisis, también se tomará un estándar de tiempo en el periodo de los últimos diez años. |

From this general approach, an analysis will then be made of the State's national security and defense policies, in the presidential administrations of: Álvaro Uribe Velez, Juan Manuel Santos and what is going on in the mandate of the current president Ivan Duque, and from These experiences will be sought to establish if the theme outlined by the War College, has been applied in these matters in each of these administrations, and a value judgment will be made on the role played by the aforementioned entity.
