Summary: | This document of investigation is the result of a handmade creation made by words, teachings, stories, experiences, hopes, dreams, joys, sorrows, among other feelings and life experiences which shaped the research paper called: Cultural Tradition and Teaching of Social sciences in Sotaquirá city. The research process was carried out between 2011 and 2013. Its main objective was to rediscovering cultural traditions of the peasantry of Sotaquirá (Boyacá) ethnographically, in order to design didactic proposals which can be applied in Social sciences teaching in Pablo VI high school. The research was possible thanks to the fraternal cooperation of some persons of the region, especially Pablo VI high school students and some adults who through their stories telling revived stories and remembers which were related to tradition and culture, these aspects have been preserved of one generation to another and which are necessary to build up communication channels and the same time interaction among school and the community context. Also, this research process achieved in arousing the interest, autonomy and awareness on social and educational issues in the participants because it created rediscovery and redefinition spaces in relation to the peasants ancestral knowledge, from the Popular Education in the field of Science social, through the educational workshop, ethnography and participant observation. Finally, the wonderful experiences that are told on this paper demonstrate the need to develop research processes that promote the link between social reality and the educational context. |
