El Distrito de Sepahua es un lugar ubicado en la amazonía peruana, bajo la jurisdicción de la Provincia de Atalaya, en la Región de Ucayali en el Perú. Allí conviven, se establecen e interactúan una diversidad de etnias nativas que se relacionan entre sí y que, en algunos casos, preservan sus idiomas1 y tradiciones. En Sepahua los servicios son escasos; la luz y el agua son cuestiones racionadas, el difícil acceso al distrito no permite una buena comunicación con un mundo (ubicado en la ciudad de Lima y otras capitales) que se extraña cuando se menciona al pueblo entre la selva que se llama Sepahua. Los habitantes de Sepahua son buenos pescadores, trabajadores de la tierra, grandes comerciantes y artesanos. En el distrito, aunque diferente, el trabajo no deja de ser tan duro y agotador como en cualquier gran ciudad. Los grandes comerciantes dominan la economía, el tránsito fluvial permite que cada semana llegue una embarcación con diferente tipo de mercancía para distribuir en los locales comerciales. |

There, a diversity of native ethnic groups coexist, establish and interact, related to each other and, in some cases, preserving their languages1 and traditions. In Sepahua services are scarce; light and water are rationed issues, difficult access to the district does not allow good communication with a world (located in the city of Lima and other capitals) that is strange when the town is mentioned among the jungle called Sepahua. The inhabitants of Sepahua are good fishermen, land workers, great merchants, and artisans. In the district, although different, the work is still as hard and exhausting as in any big city.
