For this reason, the Universidad Santo Tomas will provide supportthrough an environmental conservation project, which include activities such as selection, classification and final disposal of solids wastes, organics and hazard solids as a way of the negative impact mitigation in the nature. This strategy will be developed through the cleaning of natural surface water streams, reforestation, workshops and video conferences, field trips and people sensibilization campaigns. The involvement of the Universidad Santo Tomas will contribute to the environment protection and the right use of the natural resources.La Comunidad Educativa de la Ciudad de Tunja debe asumir estrategias pedagógicas que permitan concientizar sobre la conservación de Medio Ambiente; para lo cual la Universidad Santo Tomás apoyará a través del proyecto Educación Ambiental para Conservación del Medio Ambiente, realizando actividades de selección, clasificación, y disposición final de residuos sólidos, orgánicos, tóxicos y hospitalarios, y mitigando el deterioro de la naturaleza. Esto lo realizará a través de campañas de limpieza de fuentes hídricas, reforestación, apoyándose de talleres, en videos, conferencias, salida de campo y sensibilizando a la población sobre el cuidado de la naturaleza.
