Los habitantes de los pequeños municipios o de cualquier espacio geográfico rural no tienen conocimiento de la gestión, de la distribución ni del aprovechamiento del agua y el medio ambiente en sus localidades, haciendo énfasis en que no se tiene que ser un especialista en la cuestión para solicitar información sobre el estado de la misma o para determinar si se está haciendo un correcto uso del recurso hídrico. El presente informe corresponde a la integración del conjunto de actividades realizadas durante aproximadamente cinco semestres, como miembro del semillero de investigación de recursos hídricos SHWR (Seedbed in Hidrology and water resources management), de la Universidad Santo Tomás Seccional Tunja, para lo cual se empleó la metodología que establece el uso del índice de gestión de cuencas rurales GWI en diferentes municipios. Teniendo como base los resultados obtenidos en la aplicación de este, se realizó una guía de uso general que permita el fácil acceso a la información, enmarcada por el rigor científico que brinda confiabilidad en los resultados, y que está dirigida a la comunidad con el objetivo de que esta entienda los indicadores que evalúa y valore el grado de gestión de la cuenca, para que así se establezcan soluciones enfocadas en el beneficio del recurso y de los usuarios, quienes son los principales afectados ante falencias en la prestación del servicio. |

This report corresponds to the integration of the set of activities carried out during approximately five semesters, as a member of the SHWR (Seedbed in Hydrology and water resources management) water resources research seedbed, of the Universidad Santo Tomás Seccional Tunja, for which it was used the methodology that establishes the use of the GWI rural basin management index in different municipalities.
