El municipio de San Rafael ha sido objeto de múltiples situaciones que han vulnerado su integridad social por parte del conflicto armado colombiano, lo cual ha perjudicado su potencial ante el crecimiento del resto del departamento de Antioquia. Gracias a que el conflicto armado ha disminuido en los últimos años, el gobierno de San Rafael se ha esmerado en fomentar el turismo por medio de sus atracciones acuáticas, que son el fuerte del municipio, no obstante, no ha sido suficiente este enfoque, ya que carece de equipamientos que apoyen de manera vital a ese carácter turistico, y a otros que le aporten visibilidad al municipio, por mencionar un ejemplo, la creación de nodos o hitos dentro de este. En ese sentido, la oficina de planeación municipal se propone transformar la imagen institucional de la Alcaldía a través de un edificio, cuyo fin será el de modernizar la identidad del municipio y que al mismo tiempo simbolice templanza, la cual deberá proporcionar confianza necesaria a su comunidad y ser atractivo a los visitantes. |

Thanks to the fact that the armed conflict has diminished in recent years, the government of San Rafael has taken pains to promote tourism through its aquatic attractions, which are the stronghold of the municipality; however, the approach has not been sufficient, since that lacks facilities that provide vital support to this tourist character, and others that give visibility to the municipality, to mention for example the creation of nodes or milestones within it.
