Index terms: creativity, cognitive development, gender differences, childhood.Se estudió la creatividad en 115 niños mediante la Prueba de Creatividad desarrollada por De Zubiría, Marlés y Ramírez (2003), observando la incidencia del género y de la edad sobre los resultados. Adicionalmente, se estimó la confiabilidad y la validez de la prueba. Los resultados indicaron que el género no presenta un efecto significativo en los puntajes de la prueba, mientras que la edad resultó ser un factor importante en los procesos creativos de los niños.
