This is constructed based on the demographic behavior , technological development, social organization and the symbolic world. This period permits to observe the environmental transformations In the research in Sogamoso before the modern industry arrived. The society in Sogamoso was characterized by an agricultural tradition.

The society in Sogamoso was characterized by an agricultural tradition.En la investigación se emplea el método de interpretación ambiental propuesto por Augusto Ángel Maya para elaborar una historia ambiental de la ciudad de Sogamoso, para el periodo comprendido entre los años 1900 y 1950, haciendo énfasis en las relaciones entre el ecosistema y el sistema cultural. La cultura, en este método, se concibe como estrategia de adaptación frente al medio ecosistémico, construida con base en el comportamiento demográfico, el desarrollo tecnológico, la organización social y el mundo simbólico. El periodo estudiado permite observar las transformaciones ambientales ocurridas en Sogamoso antes de la llegada de la industria moderna, en una sociedad caracterizada hasta entonces por una larga tradición agrícola.Dans la recherche s’emploie la méthode d’interprétation environnementale proposée par Augusto Ángel Maya pour élaborer une histoire environnementale de la ville de Sogamoso, pour la période comprise entre les années 1900 et 1950, en faisant une emphase dans les relations entre l’écosystème et le système culturel. La culture, dans cette méthode, est conçue comme stratégie d’adaptation en face du milieu Ecosystémique, construite en base du comportement démographique, le développement technologique, l’organisation sociale et le monde symbolique. La période étudiée permet d’observer les transformations environnementales arrivées dans Sogamoso avant l’arrivée de l’industrie moderne, dans une société caractérisée jusqu’alors par une longue tradition agricole.Na pesquisa implementa-se o método de interpretação ambiental proposto por Augusto Ángel Maya para criar uma história ambiental da cidade de Sogamoso, para o período compreendido entre os anos 1900 e 1950, fazendo ênfase nas relações entre o ecossistema e o sistema cultural. A cultura, neste método, se concebe como estratégia de adaptação frente ao meio ecossistêmico, construída com base no comportamento demográfico, o desenvolvimento tecnológico, a organização social e o mundo simbólico.
