Summary:The concepts of democracy and economic development have been presented over time major changes that have more complex study and measurement, even so, several studies have shown the  existence of casual relationships between democracy and economic development. This paper makes a  comparative analysis of the evolution of these variables in Latin America countries based on the idea  that democracy best rates are the result of progress in the level of development countries as a result of  political decisions, social and economic conditions that have been promoted they have helped to know the demands of the actual society.
