description La siguiente es una investigación realizada por estudiantes de Arquitectura de la Universidad Santo Tomás, seccional Tunja. Expone una posible solución a la problemática de la delincuencia en el municipio de San Gil-Santander, mediante la construcción de un centro arquitectónico, donde se fomente el desarrollo de habilidades artísticas y el fortalecimiento de la identidad cultural para la juventud y la niñez de la región. Lo anterior se plantea con la hipótesis de que esta comunidad puede encontrar en la cultura el estímulo necesario para aprovechar el tiempo libre de una manera sana, y hallar una alternativa que contrarreste la de unirse a grupos delincuenciales que operan en el municipio. Es de vital importancia la participación de la comunidad para la realización de esta investigación, ya que son ellos los directamente afectados y beneficiados. Las encuestas y entrevistas son las metodologías más apropiadas que arrojarán los resultados de lo que incluirá el nuevo Taller de Integración Cultural Guanentá.

The center will be made specifically for young people and children who live in that region. The expectation is that these communities will find in the culture, a stimulus to take advantage of their free time in a healthy way, instead of joining criminal groups. The participation of the community in this project is essential.
