Description
Summary:At the University of San Buenaventura, there is a need to increase the visibility at an international level of scientific and/or technological productions developed by the professionals of the university, in order to facilitate the participation of the university in innovation processes worldwide. Semantic web is a concept that allows users to find answers quickly and easily to their questions thanks to the better structuring of information. VIVO is a semantic web platform where information is gathered from researchers worldwide. This allows the discovery of the technical knowledge of multiple disciplines through the professional profiles linked to the platform. This is the main reason of the born of the proposal to develop a web platform that facilitates the integration and exchange of information of professionals who have enrolled their curriculum on the CvLAC platform or in the system of CV of the University. Being registered in the CvLAC platform represents visibility as a professional because that means to being part of the Colciencias database, but CvLAC is not dynamic enough nor does it have a stable connection. Therefore, this project presents a tool that allows us to provide visibility to our university. This will be achieved using the information that the members of the LIDIS group have on the Colciencias platform and/or the university's CV system, and then publish it on the VIVO semantic platform.
