Summary: | The process of designing and implementing an artificial vision system based on image capture, rapid response codes (QRs), wireless communications, processing algorithms and mechatronics devices is presented, this in order to perform the automatic retrieval of objects within an environment with controlled conditions. The system consists of two main parts: the wireless camera and its support, which integrates elements of mechatronics and wireless communication; and the artificial vision component that is responsible for processing the images obtained by the camera. By means of a user interface that will be developed to control the system, it will be possible to perform actions on test-objects, which can be adapted to applications of inventory control or those similar to those made in systems of storage and automatic recovery ( ASRS: Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems). With this degree work is intended to make a theoretical and practical contribution to the development of systems for automatic identification and retrieval of objects that are not based on traditional technologies such as bar codes and radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. The objective is to explore the possibilities of QR coding in terms of performance, taking into account its low-cost implementation features and ease of reading with mobile devices. |
