Description
Summary:This paper presents good business practices in accordance with international agreements and treaties and national laws. These have been adopted by Colombian companies, from the concept of corporate government standpoint. As far as sustainable development goes, concepts and roles have been defined that these have in their integration and are necessary to carry them out. A research is done of these environmental policies that those companies have been implemented, presenting those which are -possibly- the most efficient and of best results to the all interested parts (stakeholders). The relevance of sustainable development occurs on the arrival of international treaties to Colombia (1991), along with the environmental problems generated by diverse corporations worldwide. These have had to rethink their business strategies through policies or projects based on Corporate Social Responsibility. This is in order to satisfy all stakeholders, establishing a social and environmental harmony without affecting economic performance.
