Description
Summary:This descriptive exploratory study, qualitative, aimed to identify and understand the social representations of body builders who have four men in the city of Cali. We worked on three categories: body ratio as a working relationship of the body with exercise and self-care, and use of the body in social relations from the theory proposed by Moscovici (1979). The results show in bodybuilding as the four subjects have managed to build a unique type of knowledge against the body, which guide their daily lives, allowing them to put in place in the workplace and build a relationship with the other. These aspects are part of the social representations content of their body, as the discourse of the participants shared meaning construction of reality and identity from the body.
