Description
Summary:This essay was written in the context of ongoing Art of architecture that is part of the Master of Architecture from the University of San Buenaventura and proposes an approach to symbolic universe that lies dormant or expectant upon the human eye and that art has attempted explore. The eyes, which are certainly an umbilical cord that binds us to the world, are also territory of mystification, transfiguration and reconstruction of reality and of course sleep. Mirrors, deceptive membranes where lurk delirium and melancholy, enclosed in its lights and shadows, the imaginary mysteries of men and also the art of not confronting cease. Thresholds to the recesses and bestial taking refuge within us, mirrors and our eyes are vortices through which occasionally cross our fantastic animals and our monsters. In the history of art and architecture we can find revealing works , beautiful visions fraught with painful clarity, in which eyes and mirrors are revealed as sites look and introspection , ports of departure to the trip and catharsis , passages to the dream and myth.
