Summary:As cities are constantly growing, multiple problems are becoming evident, which, when trying to be solved, generate a discrepancy between political and urban decisions, thus opening an opportunity to generate sustainable projects where the main axis is the community. without neglecting urban development. This research project seeks to propose design strategies for the maritime border of the city of Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca, where the landscape is recognized, valued and the way of living in the Pacific is recognized through an urban intervention, the which is integrated into the existing public space (malecón bahia de la cruz) and the community settled in the territory. The proposal seeks to create a link between the urban and social fabric. recognizing the importance of both in the sector of the San José neighborhood of the city of Buenaventura, which integrates different dynamics. To achieve this, a public space platform is designed with which the maritime landscape is allowed to permeate towards the city and integrate commercial equipment for the relocation of businesses settled in the area and a housing model for the San José neighborhood community which conserves the architectural characteristics of the Pacific. seeking to generate solutions that benefit the community and the urban development proposed by the city
