Summary:The need to promote the textil industry to be productive and open to new markets are the fundamental reason why the country enters into trade agreements with different countries called [TLC], free trade agreements generating challenges, to the Colombian textil industry and show problems in the infrastructure and technification of the areas where skilled labor plays a important role in the economic progress of the country.It is important to know the advantages and disadvantages that can arise if the industry is not prepared to face these challenges. there are currently financial tools such as the balance of payments that are indicators of the behavior of the economy based on exports and imports of the country, which allows financial decisions to be made, precisely to evaluate the impact of TLC in the economic development of the textil industry
