Description
Summary:This article brings us closer to the understanding of two women’s femininity and who have done several cosmetic surgeries to their bodies. In order to understand how these two women perceive themselves, we have used a qualitative approach in our study. It was our purpose to uncover the psychic processes that push them to repeat the surgical procedures and how it affects their femininity development. We have concluded that these two women perceive their bodies as an empower field that allows them to cope with internal conflicts; therefore, a repetition of the cosmetic surgeries is directly related to a way of solving some of those conflicts. Finally, their own blurred view of themselves makes them see unachieved feminine qualities of which they need to constantly look for.
