Description
Summary:Objective: to conduct a background check on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in relation to the involvement of executive functioning in university students, in order to identify the course of attention deficit in adulthood and its expression cognitive functioning higher. Method: it is based on a documentary review based mainly on the databases within the academic and scientific context of the psychological sciences: PsycARTICLES, ScienceDirect, Ebsco, Scopus and Scielo. Results: Studies show that a significant percentage (around 66%) of people diagnosed with attention deficit and hyperactivity in childhood persist into adulthood. Discussion: The attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder in young university students is difficult to detect and diagnose since it can occur with anxiety and depression. Although this issue in the university has begun to take hold, it is not yet as strong as in schools
