La academia tiene la responsabilidad de investigar rigurosamente para comprender su magnitud, causas y efectos, formulando acciones apropiadas. La interdisciplinariedad es clave para desarrollar estrategias efectivas. La psicología, con su base ontológica y metodológica, puede abordar la violencia como problema de salud pública prevenible, en este caso aplicado al contexto de Medellín, afectado por violencia social y doméstica. Aunque existen legislaciones y estrategias municipales, persisten problemas como patologías psiquiátricas y delincuencia. En este contexto, se exploran las Experiencias Traumáticas Tempranas (ETT) y los Mecanismos de Desconexión Moral (MDM), relevantes para comprender y abordar la violencia desde una perspectiva psicológica. Las ETT tienen un sustento epidemiológico, mientras que los MDM se basan en la teoría social cognitiva de Bandura, describiendo el fenómeno del agenciamiento moral y los mecanismos de desconexión que pueden conducir a comportamientos inhumanos.Objetivo:Este estudio se propuso analizar el impacto de las ETTenlos MDM,conlamediacióndelaautoeficacia y la moderación de las conductas prosociales en adultos jóvenes de Medellín. Metodología:Para lograr este objetivo, se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo, observacional y analítico con un diseño transversal. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 107 adultos jóvenes a quienes se les aplicaron diferentes instrumentos de medición, incluyendo el ETI-SRCol para evaluar las ETT, la Escala de MDM-S para los MDM, el Cuestionario PTM-R para las tendencias prosociales, y el Cuestionario de Autoeficacia para la regulación emocional (RESE) como mediador. Además, se utilizaron el Inventario de Síntomas Prefrontales abreviado (ISP-20) y la Escala de percepción de inseguridad social percibida como variables intervinientes. A partir del análisis de los datos mediante la técnica de Modelos de Ecuaciones Estructurales de Mínimos Cuadrados Parciales (PLS-SEM), utilizando el software R Studio y el paquete "seminr". Resultados: El estudio reveló que en los adultos jóvenes del Valle de Aburrá, las experiencias traumáticas tempranas influyen significativamente en la aparición de mecanismos de desconexión moral. Además, se encontró que este fenómeno se comprende mejor cuando se considera el efecto moderador de las conductas prosociales y el papel mediador de la autoeficacia para la regulación emocional. Se identificaron variables intervinientes importantes como los síntomas prefrontales y la percepción de inseguridad social, contribuyendo así a la comprensión del fenómeno. Conclusión: Se concluyó que las ETT tienen un impacto en los MDM, siendo moderadas por las tendencias prosociales y mediadas por la autoeficacia. Recomendaciones: Se recomienda aumentar el tamaño muestral, especialmente con una participación más equitativa entre géneros, para mejorar la validez predictiva del modelo.

La academia tiene la responsabilidad de investigar rigurosamente para comprender su magnitud, causas y efectos, formulando acciones apropiadas. La interdisciplinariedad es clave para desarrollar estrategias efectivas. La psicología, con su base ontológica y metodológica, puede abordar la violencia como problema de salud pública prevenible, en este caso aplicado al contexto de Medellín, afectado por violencia social y doméstica. Aunque existen legislaciones y estrategias municipales, persisten problemas como patologías psiquiátricas y delincuencia. En este contexto, se exploran las Experiencias Traumáticas Tempranas (ETT) y los Mecanismos de Desconexión Moral (MDM), relevantes para comprender y abordar la violencia desde una perspectiva psicológica. Las ETT tienen un sustento epidemiológico, mientras que los MDM se basan en la teoría social cognitiva de Bandura, describiendo el fenómeno del agenciamiento moral y los mecanismos de desconexión que pueden conducir a comportamientos inhumanos.Objetivo:Este estudio se propuso analizar el impacto de las ETTenlos MDM,conlamediacióndelaautoeficacia y la moderación de las conductas prosociales en adultos jóvenes de Medellín. Metodología:Para lograr este objetivo, se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo, observacional y analítico con un diseño transversal. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 107 adultos jóvenes a quienes se les aplicaron diferentes instrumentos de medición, incluyendo el ETI-SRCol para evaluar las ETT, la Escala de MDM-S para los MDM, el Cuestionario PTM-R para las tendencias prosociales, y el Cuestionario de Autoeficacia para la regulación emocional (RESE) como mediador. Además, se utilizaron el Inventario de Síntomas Prefrontales abreviado (ISP-20) y la Escala de percepción de inseguridad social percibida como variables intervinientes. A partir del análisis de los datos mediante la técnica de Modelos de Ecuaciones Estructurales de Mínimos Cuadrados Parciales (PLS-SEM), utilizando el software R Studio y el paquete "seminr". Resultados: El estudio reveló que en los adultos jóvenes del Valle de Aburrá, las experiencias traumáticas tempranas influyen significativamente en la aparición de mecanismos de desconexión moral. Además, se encontró que este fenómeno se comprende mejor cuando se considera el efecto moderador de las conductas prosociales y el papel mediador de la autoeficacia para la regulación emocional. Se identificaron variables intervinientes importantes como los síntomas prefrontales y la percepción de inseguridad social, contribuyendo así a la comprensión del fenómeno. Conclusión: Se concluyó que las ETT tienen un impacto en los MDM, siendo moderadas por las tendencias prosociales y mediadas por la autoeficacia. Recomendaciones: Se recomienda aumentar el tamaño muestral, especialmente con una participación más equitativa entre géneros, para mejorar la validez predictiva del modelo.Introduction: Violence, a public health issue with devastating impact, cuts across all human systems, from the private to the cultural and global. Academia bears the responsibility to rigorously research to comprehend its magnitude, causes, and effects, formulating appropriate actions. Interdisciplinarity is key to developing effective strategies. Psychology, with its ontological and methodological foundation, can address violence as a preventable public health problem, especially in contexts like Medellín, affected by social and domestic violence. Though legislations and municipal strategies exist, problems persist such as psychiatric pathologies and crime. Within this context, Early Traumatic Experiences (ETEs) and Mechanisms of Moral Disengagement (MMDs) are explored, relevant for understanding and addressing violence from a psychological perspective. ETEs have established epidemiological support, while MMDs are grounded in Bandura’s social cognitive theory, describing the phenomenon of moral agency and mechanisms of disengagement that may lead to inhumane behaviors. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the impact of ETE on MMD, with the mediation of self-efficacy and the moderation of prosocial behaviors in young adults from Medellin. Methodology: To achieve this objective, a quantitative, observational, and analytical approach with a cross-sectional design was employed. The sample consisted of 107 young adults who were administered various measurement instruments, including the ETI-SRCol for evaluating ETE, the MDM-S Scale for MMD, the PTM-R Questionnaire for prosocial tendencies, and the Emotional Regulation Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (RESE) as a mediator. Additionally, the abbreviated Prefrontal Symptoms Inventory (ISP-20) and the Perceived Social Insecurity Scale were used as intervening variables. Data analysis using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique, with R Studio software and the "seminr"package. Results: The study revealed that in young adults from the Valle de Aburrá, early traumatic experiences significantly influence the emergence of moral disengagement mechanisms. Additionally, it was found that this phenomenon is better understood when considering the moderating effect of prosocial behaviors and the mediating role of self-efficacy in emotional regulation. Important intervening variables such as prefrontal symptoms and perceived social insecurity were identified, contributing to the understanding of the phenomenon. Conclusion: It was concluded that ETE have an impact on MMD, moderated by prosocial tendencies and mediated by self-efficacy.
