Summary:This research, at its first moment, narrates the violence era in Colombia, in the municipality of Carmen de Viboral specifically, being this one of the most affected municipalities in the Antioquian East subregion; the population there, was a victim of forced displacement, murders, disappearances and other sort of human rights violations. This generated, among the citizens, the rupture of the social fabric, as well as a generalized fear. The research purpose is to seek deeper in how, after the violence was suffered, the municipality has appropriate of resilience and strengthening of the social. El Carmen de Viboral has become in one of the main artistic, cultural and social references in the Antioquian East. Hand by hand, it has been created a new narrative of the territory, building a historical memory. Due to this process, the "Carmelitas" citizens have managed to be recognised in and outside the national ground. Besides, this strategies have influenced on forgiveness and justice process.
