| Summary: | For some years in Colombia has been implementing agreements and standards for proper handling and disposal of waste or hazardous waste (RESPEL), enabling efficient driving regulate waste generated in large quantities by companies and the general population. According to research conducted by the Ministry of Health, one can show that the inadequate management of these wastes resulting bring negative health effects ranging from simple laryngitis to more complex diseases such as cancer; because the vast majority of production and consumption processes are thorwn into the atmosphere tale as mercury, lead, pesticides, among others.
