| Summary: | The present investigation was proposed as a way to approach the problem and understand the functioning of the health system and the hospital crisis of the City of Cartagena de Indias, to achieve the objectives set the work was structured from the general to the punctual. First examine how the historical evolution of the health system has been. Second, analyzing the current functioning of the Health System and the relationship they have with the EPS and patients. Third, the evolution of the coverage of the health system in the city of Cartagena de Indias, as well as the capacity of beds installed by inhabitants, including the capacity of hospital centers. Fourth, carry out a referential analysis of the operation of the best public health systems worldwide. |
