Summary: | This research is a case study, which seeks to design operating standards. In order to meet this objective, firstly, a search for different studies and research is carried out, as well as a theoretical reference review to strengthen the knowledge in terms of the Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma philosophies. As a second measure, an identification of the opportunity for improvement was performed, which for this exercise is associated with the decrease of nonconforming product retained in the Preform Injection line. In Chapter 5, three phases are presented for the fulfillment of the specific objectives; In the first phase is the diagnosis of the process to know the current situation of the problem and application of the tools of the Lean and Six Sigma philosophies for the survey and analysis of the information of the variable object of study. The second phase is related to the determination and development of the action plans related to the causes identified in Phase 1 and the design of the operating standards required for the implementation of the improvement. The third phase will show the control of the improvements raised, through process performance indicators. |
