Summary: | The Corporate Social Responsibility is an innovative strategy of entrepreneurial management which has arrived in Colombia thanks to the boost of the business schools, the entrepreneurial associations and the guidelines of the matrix houses of transnational corporations. This paradigm is being developed by large companies in order to both, make new clients, and go into other markets, consolidate and enlarge their lines of business, promote business process outsourcing, gain prestige and brand equity, avoid the state control, defuse the social resistance that can appear and improve the conditions which let them carry out their operations much more easily in the country. In this article, the most outstanding initiatives of Corporative Social Responsibility of Spanish Multinationals in Colombia will be analyzed, by showing the interests and implications that, further the corporative speech, can have the application of this business model in a context like the Colombian one. |
