Description
Summary:This research describes attachment patterns in a group of adolescent mothers who live as interns in one of the temporary shelter of the Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar for those people whose rights has been violated. The test “Cartes: Modèles Individuels de Relation” (CAMIR) was conducted with a group of adolescent mothers after having observed them interacting with their children. This is a cualitative descriptive and cross-sectional research, the information was collected and analyzed in order to determine what kind of attachment prevailed on the studied subjects, whether it is ambivalent or preoccupied, as named in the test. Results suggest that because of their prevalent ambivalent attachment, these adolescent mothers behave in an ambivalent way with their children; they can connect emotionally only for short periods of time, after some time they disconnected from their children´s needs and even lost visual contact.
