Incremento en la producción a través de la reducción de tiempos de ciclo en el proceso de elaboración de calzado para hombre

With this work we seek to increase productivity and optimize production through reduced cycle times in the production line of a company in the footwear industry located in the city of Cali. To the above it was necessary to diagnose the actual production process, analyzing each of the internal activities (cutting, trimming, assembly, assembly and finizaje) and conducting a time study; which identified the thread "bottleneck", determine root causes, identify options for improvement and offer through a proposal, improving its operating conditions. In the course of the investigation, the DMAIC methodology of Six Sigma main tool was applied, and Lean Manufacturing strategies were implemented to eliminate activities that did not add value to the process. The proposal will serve as a pilot for implementation in other threads of the production area, and its implementation is seeking to increase the production of footwear to 44%.
