Summary:Progress and Human Rights are two categories that sound very much in the international media and are a key point in the agendas of the major states of the world. Given its importance, global organizations such as the UN, work to ensure that one can develop the other and thus guarantee the advancement of humanity in the future, but the political interests of those who lead this idea of progress, have created strong legal and that affect this global objective and regions such as Latin America and States such as Colombia, must deal with those hidden interests of these world leaders, who do not render their service in an altruistic manner with a view to the advancement of the human species, but instead look for considerations that serve the decisions of the world order, with a view to the particular benefit as a developed nation, asking ourselves if this model of advancement of human rights is a tool of progress or a mechanism of colonization that responds to particular benefits of the West? Being the latter where the relationship between progress and human rights is born.
