Description
Summary:This study describes the planning and procedure elements applied in the Liga Antioqueña de Porrismo y Liga de Ciclismo de Antioquia, highlighting that this is a fundamental part of the dynamics and functioning of the sport's administrative side. Therefore, an enquiry was done to look into the planning methods within sports organizations. We therefore turn to the qualitative research method, where a case study in the two sports leagues is made in a concrete way. This study has na exploratory perspective and it is supported in the documents review section. For information collecting purposes, staff members and managers related to the administration of said entities are consulted as measurement units, using the semi-structured interview technique, established in three moments, such as the identification of the participant; the diagnosis of the planning and relevance of planning in the running of the sports organization, and lastly on how the organizational processes of each league are conceived. To conclude, the testimonial information received herein is analyzed in a manner, which leads to a set of commonalities, which indicates that one of the leagues count on a solid planning system, based in its longer existence and experience. Meanwhile the other League confirms the existence of the many problems faced by recently formed organization in terms of consolidation and planning processes, as well as in terms of team building.
