Description
Summary:Audio in television broadcasts has been a fundamental part to achieve a good interaction with the viewer, but from the beginning of its implementation, making sounds enjoyable for the receiver has been a complex topic, where the unexpected changes of audio levels between channels, programs and commercials, it stands out as one of the biggest problems, generating an irritating sensation on the listeners and causing them to lose the confort desired by the transmission. Due to the annoying changes of intensity in the different sounds implemented on television, the aim is to normalize the audio, following recommendations and standards formulated by organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Committee for Advanced Telecommunication Systems (ATSC), to bring the levels of loudness to constant values, attenuating or enhancing it, depending on the case. It seeks to develop a device for normalizing audio in television broadcasts, which works in real time, using an algorithm that allows obtaining a signal with constant loudness, decreasing the surprising level changes in the sounds that occur when changing channel, scene in a program or in the appearance of commercials. It developed a device (hardware) that receives a television signal in real time to deliver as output the same signal with less drastic variations in sound intensity. Through this device, we seek to create a more pleasant environment for the viewer and facilitate handling in volume control, as it would not have to be constantly changing
