description |
AND “occupational risk”; “Human brucellosis” AND “Risk factors”; “Slaughterhouses” OR “Veterinarians” OR “Butchers” OR “Abattoir workers” OR “Livestock workers”. Resultado.

AND “occupational risk”; “Human brucellosis” AND “Risk factors”; “Slaughterhouses” OR “Veterinarians” OR “Butchers” OR “Abattoir workers” OR “Livestock workers”. Resultado. Brucellosis is a zoonosis considered as a public health problem with a high prevalence worldwide, which becomes a threat in the population in general, its behavior is variable depending on the geographical position and occupational activity, and therefore it is considered it is necessary to implement strategies for promotion, prevention, surveillance and control systems in workers at risk of occupational exposure. Objetive. To systematize the observational evidence on the seroprevalence of brucellosis and associated risk factors in groups of workers with occupational risk. Methodology. The observational articles of the present review will be identified through the automated search in the detabases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Springer, LILACS and Google Scholar, using the keywords or descriptors: seroepidemiological studies; “Human brucellosis" AND "occupational hazard"; "Human Brucellosis" AND "Risk Factors"; Slaughterhouses OR Veterinarians OR Butchers OR “Slaughterhouse Workers” OR “Livestock Workers”. Results. From a total of 2.259 articles, 30 publications, published between 2010 – 2021, were selected for full reading. These studies describe that brucellosis continues to be a public health problem, related to work activity; being veterinarians, slaughterers and ranchers, the groups of workers with the highest seroprevalence. There is a global underreporting of brucellosis with few quality articles published. Conclusion. The studies carried out in India and in South American countries reported the highest seroprevalence of this zoonotic disease.MaestríaMagíster en Seguridad Y Salud En El Trabajo34 páginasapplication/pdfArellano Caraballo, D. & Sayas Zapateiro, J.
