Summary:Present investigation sought to identify the status of mental health of the students that deposit to programs of university formation, specially, indicators of depression, anxiety and associated stressors. 418 university students, 232 participated for it they are manly and 186 are womanly, in ages understood between the 17 and the 34 years. The sample departs of students that 2017, at three cities of Colombia were initiating their university races in the year: Medellín, Armenia and Ibagué, the ones that 254 entered of in the academic period of the first semester of the aforementioned year and 164 in the second academic period of the same. The analyzed variables were symptoms of depression, symptoms of anxiety (anguish and agoraphobia), and the variable stress. The associations between the variables were significant within the found results, but upon identifying the weight of these in the explanatory models through regression analysis logistic, a significant between the upsets evidenced itself (depression and anxiety among themselves), and only the be with significant weight for depression
