Summary:This paper consists of comments and observations on the question of the artwork conceived as a consumption item; that is, as a commodity, based on some ideas presented by three of the authors who constituted the Frankfurt School, namely, Max Horkheimer, Walter Benjamin and Theodor Adorno, on which the author of this work takes stance. To bring the evidence, it is presented some cases where the artwork has suffered the loss of its true meaning.
