Summary: | At present, companies must take into account a factor of vital importance to ensure the proper management of their suppliers, which is the procedure of selection and evaluation of the provider. Through this important factor, companies can choose the supplier that best fits their strategic policies, and, therefore, have control over customer satisfaction, reputation and the quality of their product. The objective of this project is to formulate strategies to support and strengthen the supplier selection and evaluation process, which increases the efficiency of the supply area in companies and, consequently, contributes to reinforce the integrated management of all the links in the supply chain. The process of selection and evaluation of suppliers in companies requires the use of tools that provide support and facilitate the process of multicriteria decision making, allowing to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and effectiveness of this process. Therefore, in the present project, the use of the hierarchical analysis process, AHP, was considered, which is a mathematical model that considers a series of criteria on which to base the decision-making that is desired to be carried out, in order to choose one among several alternatives.
