Description
Summary:Every design of a frame for a bicycle includes several factors, among which there are the necessary processes to make them, the type of material that is most appropriate to guarantee its durability and resistance, and the anthropometric relationships so that it adjusts to the person who will use it. All these factors must be taken into account when producing the frame, in addition, the type of frame to be designed and the person who will use it must be considered, since it must meet certain requirements in order to function correctly and provide the user with security. In the research, the analysis was carried out on all the processes of elaboration of frames for bicycles, which are the most used materials and it was evaluated if in the context of the Medellín context all the elaboration processes could be elaborated with the purpose of reducing the expenses of production and sale to the public. The design of components for bicycles in Colombia in the last decade has increased and for this reason this field was explored to take advantage of industrial resources of the city, encourage the use of bicycles in sports and find a way to optimize costs in production to make it much more affordable to potential customers. The project concludes with the design of a frame for a bicycle of the rin 20 typology that, from its very configuration, allows it to be adapted to the anthropometric measurements of people, and that allows from its design to generate variations in the gauges and diameters of the material with which it is manufactured. and at the same time that the design process is more automated and the production process is streamlined.
