Summary:This review article is a contribution to the degree thesis called "Sensory hearing loss induced by occupational noise". The methodology used in this research is qualitative of the exploratory-documentary type, the technique used for the analysis and interpretation of the information consisted of the content analysis of research articles, master's and doctoral theses, as well as research from secondary sources. It was evidenced that in theresearchesreviewedthemostusedmethodologywasthequantitativetype, which shows that fundamental statistic shave been generated to know what the degree of affectation has been, the most investigated categories in addition to HIR were: noise pollution, health occupational, occupational noise, noise pollution and prevention of occupational hazards.
