Description
Summary:The setup of the continuous improvement and the application of the 5 “S” method, has been developed specify in the pieces stock area, that are required, by welding process and was focused about: identification, order, cleaning, and saving time founding them and workers movement. The main goal of this project was to make inspections in the area of this material (pieces), identify the main problems that affect the productivity and improve It, based on the implementation of the 5 “S” method. It has made a route through the plant to know every productive process and identify which to intervene. After identify the stand by material for the welding process as a potentially to improve, four steps are determined to develop the project. The first step: You choose the most selling product in the company and its components; in the second step: You make a diagnostic about the productive process; The third step consist in take “times and movements” made for the workers founding the necessary materials for the welding process; and the last step is to choose the best tool to implement.
