Description
Summary:This non-experiemntal study, aims to describe the perception of the life’s quality and psychosocial risk of mental illnesses in 292 students in 3rd and 4th grade in public and private schools in Cartagena. This was done through two questionnaires, AUQUEI to life’s quality and LSP to psychosocial risk done by students and guardians respectively. The results show that there is low life’s quality in the separation section and high life’s quality in family life, leisure and performance; as for the psychosocial risk, it has been found that symptoms of anxiety, attention deficit & hyperactivity and depression make a significant appearance. Additionally it has been found that with regards to leisure, better life’s quality diminished symptoms of depression and behavior. Taking into account the results of this research, it can be concluded that life’s quality plays a fundamental role in the development of disorders such as depression and behavior, in addition to identifying that social stratification does not guarantee a low or high quality of life and the absence or presence of mental illness.
