Summary: | Bipolar disorder is a chronic episodic recurrent mental illness where a loss in mood control occurs, which swing between maniac depressive or mixed episodes. Bipolar symptoms are not ups and downs that may experience everyone, but profound changes in mood that represent a significant discomfort in the overall proper functioning of the person. In other cases, it represents danger for life integrity, since some people who suffer from bipolar disorder try to hurt or even kill themselves. In this way, this phenomenon becomes a problem required to face, in order to avoid more adolescents remain exposed to risk. This research analyses from a psychodynamic perspective the object relation in adolescents who have attempted suicide during a depressive episode of bipolar disorder. A qualitative methodology of hermeneutic approaches from case studies will be used. Informed consent, clinical history, semi-structured open-ended interview, and projective test like: Karl Koch´s tree test, Henry Murray´s thematic apperception test, will be used and applied as a data collection method, to five (5) adolescent patients between 15 and 17 years who have bipolar disorder and suicide attempts, in a mental health unit from Cartagena |
