Summary:In the following project, the design of a condensate recovery system of Unit U-110 HYDROCRACKING of ECOPETROL S.A Cartagena was carried out. For which it was studied previously to the area where this could be implemented, taking into account the way in which the condensate was drained and the operational conditions of the process together with the type of system to be implemented. Subsequently the selection and design of equipment that would integrate the design, mainly the storage tank whose dimensions were established considering the pressure vessel manuals and the code A.S.M.E. At the same time, the diameter of the pipe, length and pipe material and the pump responsible for getting the water to the exchangers E 101 and E102 of the unit were selected. Finally, a system of pressurized type was selected to optimize the energy consumption and when carrying out an evaluation of the economic viability of the project it was found that the implementation of the system of recovery of condensed in the unit will represent a saving of 1% for the company in the section of the specified unit, mainly associated with the consumption of boiler water and its treatment.Whose investment would be recoverable in an approximate time of 21 days.
