Summary: | This article conducts a study on the implementation of ecological and environmental architecture in Colombia, from the concept of environment to current regulations for the construction of projects of this type in the country. So it makes a conceptual and theoretical review with the objective of knowing its implications, advantages and functionality. The study concludes that in the face of climate-related changes, the introduction of ecofriendly materials, policies and concepts in architecture are of vital importance for the economic and social development of the country. It is concluded that although Colombia has had a growth in environmental awareness so it is betting on the construction of buildings which are designed looking for sustainability, it is a relatively new issue and deserves more attention both scientifically for its limited bibliography , as practical and normative. This document, I analyze the regulations in force in Colombia in relation to the issue of architecture and the environment, demonstrating that although there are laws that regulate the use of materials, soil and the care of water sources, there are no rules that oblige architects to implement ways to preserve the other resources of the context |
