Summary:Objective: To evaluate the physical fitness of the older adults from the senior center named “Centro de Vida” located in the neighborhood Las Palmeras, in the city of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Methodology: A cross-sectional study with quantitative approach will be carried out, which allows to detail a phenomenon studied through the measurement of one or more variables; The research will be carried out in the senior center named “Centro de Vida” located in the neighborhood Las Palmeras, in the city of Cartagena de Indias, Bolivar, Colombia. in which older adults between 60 and 94 years old will participate, using the Senior Fitness Test for their evaluation. Results: in the variable upper limb strength, lower limb flexibility and aerobic capacity, both men and women it is within the reference variables given by the rikli and jones senior tets battery (2001). Conclusion: after analyzing and comparing the results obtained in the sample studied with respect to the reference tables provided by the works of rikli and jones (2001), we found that most adults are below or within the reference variables.
