A partir del extracto etanólico de las hojas de la especie vegetal Piper pesarenasum y su respectivo fraccionamiento y purificación por CLV y CF, se llegó a al aislamiento y caracterización de un derivado de ácido benzoico identificado como ácido 4-metoxi-3,5-di(3’-metil-2’-butenil) benzoico. El estudio fitoquímico preliminar realizado al extracto total etanólico permitió detectar cualitativamente la presencia de terpenos, esteroides, flavonoides, taninos y cumarinas, siendo estos metabolitos destacados en esté género. Se realizó la evaluación de la actividad inhibitoria sobre la acetilcolinesterasa mediante el método de bioautográfico empleando el método de Ellman, con las fracciones derivadas de la fracción EdP y al compuesto obtenido logrando identificar zonas de inhibición de la enzima. El compuesto obtenido se aisló a través del fraccionamiento por cromatografía en columna de la fracción de éter de petróleo de Piper pesarenasum, logrando ser elucidado por técnicas espectroscópicas de RMN 1H y 13C de 1 y 2 dimensionesThis research relates the phytochemical and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity by bioatuográfico study method in order to contribute to the chemical and bilógica activity of the genus Piper. From the ethanolic extract of the leaves of the plant species and its respective Piper pesaresanum fractionation and purification by GLC and CF, was reached isolation and characterization of a benzoic acid derivative identified as 4-Methoxy-3,5-di (3'-methyl-2'-butenyl) benzoic acid. The preliminary phytochemical study conducted by ethanolic total extract allowed qualitatively detect the presence of terpenes, steroids, flavonoids, tannins, coumarins, and these are highlighted in gender metabolites. Evaluation of acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity was performed by using the method bioautográfico Ellman method with fractions derived from the EdP and the compound obtained fraction succeeded in identifying zones of inhibition of the enzyme.
