Summary: | The present project was executed during the realization of the University Social Service carried out in the Health Care Center of the U.D.C.A, whose objective was to support the actions of University Welfare aimed at students, officials and teachers. Within the framework of this project, an integral institutional route was designed for the detection, prevention, intervention and monitoring of suicidal behavior in students of the U.D.C.A. Material and method: It was carried out between the month of May and October and for the fulfillment of this a plan of activities was made for each of the objectives, and in three phases; First phase: a documentary review, for which a search was made of the MedLine electronic resources via PubMed, Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo. Second phase: SWOT analysis to identify resources available to the U.D.C.A. Third phase: a suicide behavior care route was designed for students of the U.D.C.A. Results: The design of a matrix with different strategies for the prevention, detection, and attention of suicidal behavior, The analysis of a SWOT matrix that was filled by different officials belonging to the Human Development and University Welfare Unit and the design of a care route for suicidal behavior directed at UDCA students. Conclusions: The University counts does not have sufficient resources for the number of students. There are different extra institutional support resources, however their geographic location represents a barrier to an effective and rapid response |
