Description
Summary:Pediatrics is a clinical discipline that is nourished by the knowledge produced by different biological sciences, social sciences and human behavior. In this stage, a large number of adverse drug events occur, generating an increase in hospitalizations. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to conduct a study on the hospital capacity of attention of serious events to medications in pediatric population Colombia 2010-2016. In order to make known through a visual piece the most critical points to which pediatric medical assistance is not provided to generate opportunities for improvement. Likewise, an index of hospital capacity for the care of serious events for medicines in the pediatric population for Colombia 2010-2016 is proposed, through data offered by entities such as the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), the National Institute for Surveillance medicines and food INVIMA and the Open Data portal of the Ministry of telecommunications, looking for the most critical points to which the pediatric medical assistance is not provided.
