Introduction: The respective prevalence and incidence percentages for arterial hypertension show different indicators in Colombia and the world demonstrating the significant impact at the individual and social level on health and economy. As a measure, there are treatments and therapeutic processes in which pharmacology and modifications in life habits stand out. In the same way, scientific evidence has emerged in areas such as genetics, nutrition and physical exercise, where HIIT and isometric methodologies have demonstrated positive effects on physiological and biochemical variables of great importance, however, their implementation has been debated due to the risks associated with hypertensive population. Objective: To determine the effects of HIIT and Isometric training on physiological and biochemical variables as therapeutic methods for arterial hypertension. Methodology: This research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. 15 articles were selected and two categories were established with their corresponding variables: HIIT training (SAP, DAP, CF, VO2max) and isometric training (SAP, DAP, MAP, ctPWV, cvBRS, AOPP). Results: The variables of both categories showed significant, very significant and quite significant results, with p values <0.05, <0.01 and <0.001 for the therapeutic control of hypertension. Conclusions: It is concluded that the HIIT and IE methodologies have positive effects on the variables analyzed with HIIT protocols of long and short duration at 70-100% of the MCF or VO2max in a frequency of 2/3 sessions for ≥ 2 weeks, and IE protocols per sets of 4x2 min at 30% of the VMC in a manual grip dynamometer with one or two alternate hands at a frequency of 3 weekly sessions for 4 ≥ weeks.
